Covariance analysis of regressions for 8 characters do not show any significant difference between males and females. But for the length of the pectoral, the variance ratio is rather close to the significant level as already observed for yellowfin. Except for two characters we obtained results similar to those of KUROGANE and HIYAMA from data of the Northern Coral Sea, but different from those obtained in the NW Pacific. The mean number for branchiospines is 28 more or less than 1,2.
